We hope you are all keeping safe and healthy at home. If you are an essential services provider, we’d like to say a very big thank you.

As you will be aware, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced a nationwide Alert Level 4-induced lockdown from 11.59pm tonight. For more information, visit the COVID-19 website.

We’d like to share with you what this means for the waterfront:

  • All non-essential services across the waterfront have now closed, including restaurants and cafes on Queens Wharf and in Wynyard Quarter and our Karanga and Queens Wharf Information Kiosks.

  • The Wynyard Crossing Bridge will cease operation by 6pm tonight, remaining in the upright position until it is safe to reopen.

  • All public transport is limited to carrying only essential service workers.

  • Westhaven Marina is classed as an essential service and will have dockmasters on site 24/7.

  • ASB in Wynyard Quarter will stay open with reduced staff.

  • All public facilities (toilets, bins etc.) on Queens Wharf and in Wynyard Quarter will be maintained on a reduced service.

  • Our Cityguard security team will continue to patrol the area, as will Regional Facilities Auckland security on Queens Wharf.

  • Please be aware there are currently cruise ships on Queens Wharf with crew, but no passengers aboard. First Security will be running operations out of Shed 10, whilst these ships are docked.

A reminder all supermarkets, pharmacies, banking, service stations and doctors will remain open throughout the four-week lockdown period.
