We talk to Frith Walker - Manager Place Making at Panuku
We caught up with Frith Walker to talk about her role and favourite spaces:
"(One of my favourite spaces is) The Wind Tree (in Wynyard Quarter) by Michio Ihara. It's a very important piece of public art, but it's also used by lots of little kids in their undies swimming, and parents watching them. That tells me that people feel safe there, that kids are allowed to run around in their undies. And you see parents trying to mop off drenched children that have gone for an impromptu swim, which is just fantastic, and people riding their bikes through it and seagulls doing their thing. That's a pretty awesome piece of space."
