Karenza Harris - Westhaven Marina Manager

We talk with Karenza Harris Marina Manager at Westhaven Marina about her role at Westhaven and her journey through life and career as it developed including being in the New Zealand Navy for five years.

Karenza has worked at Westhaven for two years and has been in the acting Marina manager role for the past five months. She came from a background of zero marine influence - no one in her family was particularly seafaring. It was mostly due to not knowing what she wanted to do when she left school that she joined the Navy for six years, and her love for the marine industry began.

From looking after the largest marina in the Southern Hemisphere to learning a bit more about Owha, our resident leopard seal, Karenza tells us about the path she took to her career and a bit about daily life as the Marina Manager.
