Westhaven Marina will boast a new world-class facility with the opening of the anticipated Westhaven Marine Village in August 2020.
A stunning structure inspired by the area’s marine industrial heritage will house 13 purpose-built amenities, including chandlers, brokerages, and other specialist services. An exciting food and beverage offering is also proposed, where marina visitors can stop and rest, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy the spectacular views over the marina and back to the city skyline.
All consents and approvals have now been granted for construction to begin on the $12 million investment, which will cement the marine industry’s home in Auckland and add to its draw as the largest marina in the southern hemisphere.
The building aims to achieve a Greenstar performance certification, with exciting sustainable design elements, including a PV roof, rainwater tanks, shaded window glazing, bike racks and end of trip facilities, and electric vehicle stations.
