KidVision takes over Wynyard Quarter
We designed the waterfront with all people in mind – big and small, fishermen and apartment dwellers, old and young, and everyone in between.
But, if there is a most important in that list, then it’s the young.
Our future grown-ups – the people who we are ultimately making these spaces for. So things that matter to them, made sense to them, were the right size and shape and amount of play for them, were vital.
If you design (and build, and deliver, and manage) right for children, you are designing for everyone. Our streets become safer, our public spaces become more usable and everything gets saturated with play. Which is good for all of us.
As a famous quote goes, “We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors—we borrow it from our children.” So making places for them makes sense, don’t you think?
