Sun sets on another Summer at Silo Park

Sun sets on another Summer at Silo Park

Summer is over and autumn is officially upon us. Now in its seventh year, our Summer at Silo Park programme of events did not disappoint.

With more than 50 food trucks serving up their fare, the summer programme has been a huge hit.

“The highlight for us this year is definitely the world on a street series,” says John Sutton, General Manager of Fresh Concept (programme managers for Summer at Silo Park). “Africa & Latin America were both really successful and brought new audiences to the waterfront. We’re already looking forward to doing it all again next summer.”

Other highlights include 10,000 ice cream lovers attending Ice Cream Sundae, making it the biggest event of the programme. Black Panther was the most highly attended Silo Cinema of the summer, with the average 1,200 movie-goers climbing to 4,000. And our feel good highlight – all proceeds from the sale of Silo Cinema popcorn were shared between Auckland City Mission, Kiwi Harvest and the Christchurch Give A Little page.

From us at the Your Waterfront team, thanks to everyone who attended a Summer at Silo Park event. You helped make it the best one yet. See you next summer.
