Orams Marine Development

The first stage of the Orams Marine Refit Facility has been completed and now boasts an 820T travel lift (upgraded from 600T) that allows them to work on superyacht and other marine vessels up to 800 tonnes which accounts for 85% of the world marine market.

Stage two will bring commercial buildings and a residential tower on the northern end. It will provide increased maintenance facilities for Auckland’s ferries, fishing vessels and commercial vessels. Most of the existing marine business on the site will be accommodated within the new development.

Orams refits boats and marine vessels for clients from around Tāmaki Makaurau and Aotearoa – from small barges to big superyachts. Quite apart from the refit facility, it’s also home to almost 30 marine businesses including chandlers, boat builders, ferry operators and more.

The new development s expected to generate more than 500 jobs including as many as 200 apprenticeships.
